Kristin Clark is an agency manager with Kentucky Farm Bureau Insurance and has been with the company for 14 years. She called insurance “risk management for business.”

In addition to needing a financial planner, CPA, lawyer, marketing advisor, and other professional experts to help with our businesses, Kristin suggested having an insurance advisor also, because each business has different levels of risk. “Get people who are good at what they do,” she said, of all these experts we need.

Dan Dixon, a representative with Northwestern Mutual Financial Network, spoke to us about insurance. “It’s an important part of your personal and business planning,” he said. Some people think insurance premiums are an unnecessary expense (it’s not a tangible product, after all), but Dan gave us a lot to think about, or rethink, in making sure we have auto, health, home, disability, and life insurance policies.
